Café Coyote a very nice restaurant, perfect for large groups, have different rooms. Our waiter Ricky was very attentive, gave us a great explanation about the Tequila process in Jalisco, Mex. Great atmosphere and felt the Mexico ???????? vibe. Food and drinks were amazing. Definitely a must-visit if you're in old town San Diego.
If you’re in the San Diego area, stop what you are doing and go to Café Coyote! The food is amazing. The atmosphere is fun. The service is top-notch. Trevor, the general manager is a first class operator and engages customers with intention and courtesy. Try the pumpkin flan! You don’t want to miss this amazing San Diego icon! Our server, Javier,, was the best!
Great weekend hangout place. I took out of town friends here to experience Mexico food. Charming place with indoor, outdoor and even on the sidewalk too. Good service and good foods, drinks are great. They even have live music in the weekend. Perfect location to walk around afterward and very close by to old town (which) you got to check out while you’re here.
A lively place with good Mexican food. It seems quite popular in the area as it was fully booked with more people coming in! Food was good. Service was ok… we had to wait for a while to place the order and get the food as well. The tables are quite small to fit 4 people and are placed very close to each other making it quite congested. The margarita flight was quite interesting. It had 5 flavours of margaritas- mango, cucumber, pineapple, pomegranate, spicy watermelon
We went to eat on Halloween, staff was very organized and ready to seat us. Food was very good, except rice was dry. Server was great, checked on us although it was getting pretty busy. Be ready to spend, prices are on the higher side. Decor was beautiful.
As soon as we walked up to the place the atmosphere was amazing! Lots of papel picado draping from the roofs and huge general area to sit, with choice of inside and outside seating. Very busy which did not hinder food preps thankfully. My fish tacos were messy but delicious and the churros made an excellent dessert to end the night off. I also bought this long sleeve shirt as a souvenir (wearing right now) and it’s very cozy. Would love to return again when we’re back in the area!
Busy busy restaurant. Their specialty is that the tortillas are made fresh from raw dough, not the packaged kind you find at the supermarket. They’re especially fresh with a nice flour aroma. But the other dishes are just so-so, a bit on the salty side. The salsa is decent, with a bit of that fresh tomato flavor. Atmosphere is great, super friendly and lively.
